Inorganic Salts

Chlorides, sulphates, nitrates, carbonates, phosphates and metal salts in Extra Pure, AR and pharmacopoeial grades.

10 categories · 4115 published records. The catalogue we can supply is broader than the catalogue we publish — send us the item if you cannot find it.

Before you order

Hydration state matters as much as purity here. A heptahydrate and an anhydrous salt of the same substance carry different molecular weights and different CAS numbers, and substituting one for the other silently changes every concentration you calculate from it. Every listing below states the hydrate explicitly.

What laboratories usually order alongside this.

Acids & Bases

Mineral and organic acids, alkalis and hydroxides across Extra Pure, AR, pharmacopoeial and trace-metal grades.

Volumetric Solutions

Ready-to-use standardised titrants and concentrate ampoules, supplied with the batch factor and Certificate of Analysis.

Buffers & Culture Media

pH buffer solutions, capsules and tablets, biological buffer substances, and microbiological media components.

Three things worth checking before you raise the purchase order.

Grade is not a luxury decision. An Extra Pure solvent in an HPLC mobile phase produces a rising gradient baseline and ghost peaks that cost more in re-runs than the grade upgrade would have cost. Equally, buying analytical grade for a teaching practical wastes real money across an academic year. Match the grade to what the result has to survive.

Hydration state changes what you weigh. Magnesium sulphate heptahydrate has a molecular weight of 246.48; the anhydrous salt is 120.37. They carry different CAS numbers and are different products. Catalogues frequently print only “magnesium sulphate”. Every listing here states the hydrate.

Concentrated acids are quoted as cartons, not bottles. 2 × 500 ml and 4 × 2.5 L are the standard configurations in this trade. Comparing a per-bottle price against a per-carton price is the single most common quotation error we see, and it is usually the buyer who absorbs it.

Bulk quantities — 25 kg, 50 kg, 200 L drums — are priced on request because freight and packing dominate the cost. Send us your annual consumption and we will quote a schedule rather than a line item.
