How this index is maintained
Standards are checked against the issuing body rather than copied from supplier catalogues. That distinction matters more than it sounds: catalogues in this trade copy each other, so a citation error propagates for years after the underlying standard changes.
Where a standard has been revised into a new numbering family — as IS 13311 was when it was absorbed into IS 516 in 2018 — we keep the old number visible rather than deleting it, because your existing documentation almost certainly still references it and you need to be able to find the mapping.
If you spot an error here, tell us. We would rather fix it than defend it.
