Worth knowing before you order
The catalogue prints the measuring principle for its portable turbidity meter as the nephelometric method at 90°, but for this bench model it gives only the 850 nm infrared source and the silicon photodiode detector and states no detection angle; if your method specifies a geometry or a source wavelength, get the angle confirmed in writing. No published turbidity method is cited anywhere on the page. Three formazin standards are supplied — 200, 500 and 1000 NTU — against seven available calibration points, so the 0.02, 10, 1500 and 2000 NTU standards are separate purchases; formazin standards have a shelf life and are a recurring cost. TSS is not measured independently: it is turbidity multiplied by a conversion factor you set from your own gravimetric work, so the ± 3% TSS accuracy applies to the conversion, not to the solids.Specification
