Worth knowing before you order

Two limits decide whether this fits the job. It is heat-only, RT+5 °C to 60 °C with no refrigeration, so it cannot run a 20 °C or 15 °C culture and in a warm room its practical floor rises with the room. And the platform takes 4.5 kg on a 248 x 248 mm tray, which is a handful of 100-250 ml flasks, not a production shelf. The catalogue prints "Amplitude 10 mm" rather than orbit diameter, and the two are not the same quantity - an orbit diameter is the full width of the circular path. Since orbit changes aeration and therefore the culture result, get the supplier to state the orbit diameter in writing before matching this to a published protocol.
