Worth knowing before you order

It sterilises only what goes into the beads. The well is 40 x 80 mm, so the working end of an instrument is treated and the shaft, hinge and handle above the bead line are not - which is fine for a loop or a scalpel tip and wrong for anything that must be sterile along its whole length. It is not an autoclave substitute: no wrapped loads, no media, no liquids, no packaging, no cycle record, and a few seconds of dry heat at 250-300 °C is not the validated equivalent of 121 °C for 15 minutes of saturated steam. Allow the ≤25 min warm-up before the first use of the day. The beads themselves are a consumable and are not listed among the standard accessories, so ask whether the first 150 g charge is included and budget for replacements.
