Worth knowing before you order

These are consumable sensors, not instruments: both are refillable combination electrodes with a finite membrane life, and the internal filling solution, the standard solutions and the ionic strength adjustment buffer supplied with them are all recurring purchases. Each has a narrow working pH window — 5 to 7 for fluoride, 2.5 to 11 for nitrate — which is exactly why TISAB (fluoride) and ISAB (nitrate) are in the box; sample and standard must both be conditioned or the calibration is meaningless. The catalogue also carries a specific instruction for the fluoride electrode: use plastic containers only for the analysis. Two conflicting dimension rows are printed for each electrode (186 x 65 x 80 mm and 185 x 65 x 50 mm), so no overall dimensions are reproduced here.
