Worth knowing before you order

This is a process instrument and it is not usable the way a bench meter is. It needs a cut-out in a panel or field enclosure to mount in, a regulated 24 V DC supply — it does not plug into the mains — and field wiring landed on the detachable screw terminals. The sensor is submersible on a 5 m cable, so the pipeline or tank needs a tapping, holder or flow cell, and it needs to be arranged so the electrode can be pulled for calibration without stopping the process. The 4–20 mA output and the high/low alarm with its hysteresis setting have to be wired to whatever they are meant to drive — a dosing pump, a PLC or an annunciator — and none of that is in the box; the catalogue prints no alarm contact rating, so confirm it before wiring a pump directly. The electrode is a consumable living permanently in the process stream, which shortens its life against a laboratory electrode.

Site preparation required

This instrument needs site work before delivery — typically a level grouted foundation, a dedicated power supply, and in some cases drainage or extraction. We issue the foundation drawing and utility schedule with the quotation so the civil work runs in parallel with the lead time.

Support available

  • Installation & commissioning
  • Calibration
  • Operator training
  • Annual maintenance contract
  • Spares & consumables

Calibration is arranged through NABL-accredited laboratories under the relevant scope. We state the scope and the certificate number on the quotation — see what accreditation actually covers.
