Worth knowing before you order
It ships with a K = 1 conductivity cell and one 1413 µS/cm standard, and the meter will also take K = 0.1 and K = 10 cells. Match the cell to the water: K = 0.1 for RO permeate and other high-purity samples, K = 1 for drinking and surface water, K = 10 for brines and concentrated effluent. A cell used outside its range still returns a number, which is why ordering the wrong K is an expensive mistake. TDS is calculated from conductivity, not measured, so it is only as meaningful as the conversion factor in use. The cell is a consumable and its platinised surfaces foul in dirty water — recalibrate against a standard rather than trusting the printed constant.Specification
