Worth knowing before you order
The figure that decides between this and the bench dissolved oxygen meter is accuracy: this portable is specified at ± 0.5 mg/L, the bench model at ± 0.2 mg/L, so a compliance limit near the meter's uncertainty belongs on the bench instrument. The polarographic electrode is a consumable assembly — one membrane cap and one bottle of electrolyte are supplied, and both are re-ordered routinely; a damaged membrane reads low without any obvious symptom. Salinity and barometric pressure are corrected only from values the operator enters by hand, which matters in brackish water and at altitude. Zero-oxygen solution for the two-point calibration is not listed among the accessories.Specification
