Water Hardness Meter with Ion Concentration Modes

Benchtop water hardness meter that reads hardness directly from a hardness-sensitive electrode against calibration standards, with a general ion-concentration mode on the same instrument.

Typical applications

  • Boiler and cooling-water hardness
  • Drinking water and softener plant monitoring
  • Laundry and process water control
  • Ion concentration measurement with an ISE
  • Environmental water testing

Worth knowing before you order

This measures hardness potentiometrically against hardness standard solutions, not by EDTA titration, so it is calibrated in mmol/L over two to five points and 10 and 100 mmol/L standards come with it; the other calibration points and all replacement standards are a recurring purchase, and the hardness electrode is a consumable whose slope the meter stores and tracks. Results are read in ppm, mg/L, mol/L or mmol/L — the catalogue prints no conversion to degrees of hardness, so a specification written in °dH or grains per gallon will have to be converted by hand. The thermal printer is an optional extra, not standard supply.
