Total Organic Carbon Analyser, UV Oxidation with Conductivity Detection

Reagent-free TOC analyser for high-purity water that oxidises carbon with a UV lamp and measures the resulting conductivity change, in an offline model and an online/offline model.

Typical applications

  • Purified water and water for injection release testing
  • Microelectronics and ultrapure water monitoring
  • Cleaning validation rinse water
  • Distribution loop monitoring (online model)

Worth knowing before you order

This carries the same name as the infrared TOC analyser and is a different instrument. Conductivity detection reads carbon at ppb level in clean water - purified water, water for injection, microelectronics water - and needs no acid, no catalyst and no carrier gas, so there is nothing to buy, plumb or vent and the running cost is a UV lamp and a pump tube. What it will not do is dirty or saline samples: no salinity or particle allowance is printed, and the top of range is around 1.5 mg/L, three orders of magnitude below the infrared instrument. One figure to settle in writing before you order: the two range rows in the catalogue do not agree - detection range is printed as 0.001-1.500 mg/l while measurement range is printed as 1-1000 µg/L, and 1.500 mg/l is 1500 µg/L. Choose the online/offline model only if you actually need loop monitoring; the other model is offline only and is otherwise identical.
