Gas Chromatograph with Electronic Pneumatic Control, Split/Splitless Injector and FID

Bench gas chromatograph with electronic pneumatic control, a split and splitless injector and a flame ionisation detector, with a column oven programmable to 420 °C.

Typical applications

  • Benzene series and BTEX (toluene, ethylbenzene, xylenes, styrene, cumene)
  • Nitrobenzene compounds (nitrobenzene, dinitrotoluene)
  • Chlorobenzene compounds (chlorobenzene, dichlorobenzene, trichlorobenzene)
  • Total volatile organic compounds (TVOC)
  • Phenolic compounds (phenol, cresol)

Worth knowing before you order

The base instrument is one split/splitless injector and one FID. The carrier gas is not supplied, and neither is the hydrogen and air the flame burns; the air source and flow-rate control device is listed as an option, and the column is not included at all. The computer is not supplied either - the catalogue states that the user must have a PC to run the software, and 99-ramp programming exists only there, against 20 ramps at the touch screen. The EPC flow, split ratio and inlet figures are quoted for nitrogen and helium only, so if hydrogen carrier is intended, get the EPC range for hydrogen confirmed in writing before ordering. Against the plainer capillary-injector model in this range, what this one buys is electronic pneumatic control, split/splitless injection, 420 °C instead of 400 °C and faster programmed heating. The manufacturer states the software is compatible with GLP and 21 CFR Part 11; Part 11 compliance is demonstrated by the user's validated process, not shipped with a machine.

Site preparation required

This instrument needs site work before delivery — typically a level grouted foundation, a dedicated power supply, and in some cases drainage or extraction. We issue the foundation drawing and utility schedule with the quotation so the civil work runs in parallel with the lead time.

Support available

  • Installation & commissioning
  • Calibration
  • Validation & qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ)
  • Operator training
  • Annual maintenance contract
  • Spares & consumables

Calibration is arranged through NABL-accredited laboratories under the relevant scope. We state the scope and the certificate number on the quotation — see what accreditation actually covers.
