Low Viscosity Adaptor for Digital Rotational Viscometers

Coaxial-cylinder adaptor with its own spindle and chamber that extends a digital rotational viscometer down to thin liquids on a 20 to 30 mL sample.

Typical applications

  • Thin solvents and solvent blends
  • Dilute polymer solutions
  • Thin inks and coatings
  • Beverages and thin syrups

Worth knowing before you order

This is an accessory, not an instrument, and it is a separate line item: it does not come with the viscometer, and the viscometer will not read thin liquids sensibly without it because the standard L-series spindles run out of torque long before that. It fits the three direct-reading digital rotational viscometers in this range and is also offered as an option on the small-sample-adaptor models. The catalogue prints two different things about its range — a "1 to 50 mPa·s" band in the note and per-viscometer spindle ranges reaching 2,000 to 6,000 mPa·s — so confirm the usable band for your sample in writing. No jacket or thermostatting is described, and thin liquids are the ones whose viscosity moves fastest with temperature.
