Halogen Moisture Analyser, 110 g x 0.1 mg, Touch Screen

Loss-on-drying moisture analyser pairing a 110 g / 0.1 mg weighing cell with halogen heating to 230 °C, reporting moisture, dry weight and solids content from a single automatic run.

Typical applications

  • Moisture in powders, granules and solids
  • Loss on drying in pharmaceutical quality control
  • Solids content of pastes and slurries
  • Moisture in food, feed and agricultural produce
  • Incoming raw material checks
  • Moisture in polymer resins

Worth knowing before you order

This is a moisture analyser, not a balance, and the distinction matters: it reports loss on drying at a chosen temperature, which is a method-dependent number, not a measurement of water. Anything volatile below the set temperature counts as moisture, and anything that decomposes adds to it — for a specific water content the reference method is Karl Fischer titration. Results agree with an oven method only when temperature, end-point criterion, sample mass and sample thickness are fixed and repeated identically, so write the programme into the SOP and leave it alone. The weighing side is a genuine four-decimal cell (110 g × 0.1 mg, repeatability 0.0001 g, linearity ± 0.0003 g) with internal calibration, so the same bench rules apply: level, stable, out of draughts, and here also away from anything that objects to the heat the halogen lamp puts out. Aluminium sample pans are consumable — 50 come in the box and they are the running cost. GMP/GLP compliance is claimed on the page; that describes features such as password login and stored records, and compliance itself is demonstrated by the user's validated procedure, not shipped with the instrument.
