Worth knowing before you order
No windshield is listed for this pair, and that is the thing to weigh up before ordering: at 1 mg a balance responds to a moving air current, so an open bench under an air-conditioner outlet or a fan will give unstable readings and a glass-shielded model is the safer choice. Keep the three figures apart - 1 mg is readability, repeatability is 1 mg and linearity is 3 mg, so a difference of one or two display steps between weighings is not a real difference and the last digit must not be quoted as accuracy. Calibration is external, described as automatic, which refers to the routine and not to the weight: a calibration weight of a suitable class is not in the accessory list and has to be bought and periodically re-certified. The battery makes the balance usable through a power cut, but it still has to be levelled on its own indicator each time it moves.Specification
