Worth knowing before you order
Two omissions decide whether this model suits the room. The catalogue states there is no battery backup, so it works only on mains; and it states the glass windshield is not available, which at 0.01 g readability means the bench position has to do the work a windshield would - away from doors, fans and fume-hood sashes. The underhook is the reason to choose this one: it lets a load hang below the balance for items that will not sit on a pan and for hydrostatic density work, but it needs a bench with an aperture or an overhang beneath it, which is site work to arrange before delivery. Readability is not accuracy here either: linearity is ±0.03 g, three display steps. The dimension row is printed without stating whether it is the instrument or the packed carton.Specification
