Worth knowing before you order
The two models share one body and one pan and differ in the load cell: the 3000 g model reads to 0.01 g and carries RS232C, the 6000 g model reads to 0.1 g and the catalogue states RS232C is not available on it, so a balance that has to feed a PC or printer must be the 3000 g version. Record the linearity, not the readability, as the working uncertainty - ±0.03 g and ±0.2 g respectively, three and two display steps. No windshield is listed for either model, which is a real constraint on the 10 mg version: site it out of draughts or it will not settle. The salient features cite a low-battery indicator but the specification table lists no battery, only a mains adaptor; if battery operation is needed, choose the family that states an in-built rechargeable battery. Calibration is external, so a calibration mass is required and is not in the accessory list.Specification
