Semi-Micro Balance, 61 g x 0.01 mg

Single-range semi-micro balance reading in 0.01 mg steps to 61 g, with internal calibration triggered by elapsed time and by temperature change, for laboratory and analytical weighing.

Typical applications

  • Semi-micro standard and sample weighing
  • Standard solution preparation
  • Reference material weighing
  • Percentage and counting work
  • Routine analytical laboratory weighing

Worth knowing before you order

No repeatability figure is printed for this model, and that is the one to ask for before ordering. The catalogue gives an 'accuracy' row of 0.01 mg, but that is simply the readability repeated — the smallest step the display can show — and it says nothing about whether two weighings of the same object will agree. With linearity at ± 0.04 mg quoted and repeatability absent, treat the 0.01 mg figure as resolution only until the supplier confirms the standard deviation in writing. The stated minimum weighing of 1 mg is the practical floor. Internal calibration here is triggered both on a timer and on temperature change, which is the useful arrangement: it keeps the balance in tolerance through the morning warm-up without anyone remembering to run a weight. It is still an environment-limited instrument — a heavy, level bench, no draughts, and a room held between 15 and 25 °C; the anti-vibration pad supplied as standard helps with bench vibration and with nothing else. This is a single-range 61 g balance, so it will not double as a 200 g analytical balance for larger tares.
