Worth knowing before you order
Only the top plate is stainless; the frame is carbon steel, which is painted mild steel in service and will corrode where there is washdown, brine, food debris or chemical spillage. For those areas choose a fully stainless platform balance rather than this one. The indicator is a separate unit on a pole and is supplied with the balance, so allow for the height and the cable run when planning the bench - it is not an integrated display. Readability is not accuracy: linearity is ±4 g, twice the 2 g display step. RS232C is optional and must be specified at order. The catalogue does not state a verification (stamping) class, so this balance cannot be assumed fit for trade transactions without local legal verification of the individual instrument.Specification
