Food, Feed & Agriculture

Analytical reagents, pesticide-residue solvents and instrumentation for food safety and agricultural testing laboratories.

Food testing splits cleanly into two problems. Proximate analysis is high-volume and routine — Kjeldahl nitrogen, Soxhlet fat, ash, moisture — and cost per test matters. Residue and contaminant analysis is the opposite: low volume, high stakes, and entirely dependent on solvent and standard quality, because the specification is about what is absent. Pesticide-residue grade solvents exist for exactly this reason and are not interchangeable with AR grade.

Tests run here

  • Crude protein by Kjeldahl
  • Crude fat by Soxhlet extraction
  • Moisture, ash and crude fibre
  • Pesticide residues by GC-MS and LC-MS/MS
  • Heavy metals by AAS
  • Aflatoxin and mycotoxin screening
  • Microbiological plate counts and pathogen detection

What this sector draws on

Send us your test schedule for this laboratory.

We will map it to grades, pack sizes and instrument specifications, and flag anything that is over-specified for what you are actually measuring.
